Hobbling, Gobbling and Wobbling in Woodpeckers’ Class Assembly!

This week was the turn of the Woodpeckers to showcase their work from this half term. They performed the nonsense poem:  ‘Hobble, Gobble Wobble’ By Michael Rosen with actions as well as a poem they had learnt about the months and seasons. The children shared their story ideas about unlikely animal friends who teach each other new skills. They showed off their Geography skills by using compass directions to plan a route around the school. The children also showed their junk model lunch boxes that they had made in DT following their learning of the story ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunchbox ‘ and we will be testing them to see if they are fit for purpose next week. Well done Woodpeckers!
